A discount badge on AliExpress is two numbers the seller chose: the price they are charging, and a crossed-out price beside it. Nothing checks the second one. The only way to tell a real cut from a decorated price tag is to know what the listing cost on a day the seller was not advertising, and that is the one thing the page you are looking at does not show.

Across the 35,994 listings we track, 45.4% claim a discount between 50% and 59%, and 60.5% claim at least half off. A number that almost every listing displays cannot distinguish between them — a “−55% OFF” badge is closer to a house style than to a sale.

A listing needs 7 separate days of our own readings before we will say where today’s price sits in its range. The 20,917 newer ones show what we have and no verdict. Last reading taken 13 August 2026.
Calling a seller’s crossed-out price unsupported is a stronger claim, so it needs 14 days and a margin: their anchor has to sit well above everything we ever recorded, not merely above it. No listing has reached that mark yet, so we make that claim about none of them today.
Not the seller’s percentage — the difference between the price we wrote down last time and the one we wrote down on 13 August 2026. 85 listings fell by 5% or more. These are the ones with the most sales behind them.
Falls steeper than 30% are excluded — 8 of them on this reading. A listing that drops by three quarters overnight has usually changed which option it quotes, a ten-pack becoming a single unit, and the affiliate API never says which option a price belongs to. We cannot tell that apart from a real cut, so we do not present it as one. Variant, quantity and shipping can still differ on the rows below; check the option selected on AliExpress before you buy.

The affiliate API returns a promotion’s name, description and product count, and no dates whatsoever — so a deadline here would be one we invented, which is the practice this site exists to check, reproduced on our own page. What is real is when we last looked, so that is what it says instead. Every price we have recorded.
