Terms of Service

By using PriceProven you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. They apply to the website at priceproven.com, to the emails you ask us to send, and to the PriceProven browser extension.

PriceProven records the prices of AliExpress listings on a recurring schedule and shows that record: a price history for each listing, an assessment of today’s price against the prices we recorded on earlier days, and comparisons between listings. You can also paste the address of an AliExpress listing into our price checker; if we are not yet recording that listing, we begin to.

The service is free and needs no account. PriceProven is an independent service. It is not operated by, and is not part of, AliExpress or Alibaba Group.

Prices shown on PriceProven are readings we recorded at the time indicated. A reading can differ from the price you see on AliExpress when you visit, because sellers change prices, because AliExpress prices vary by country and currency, and because shipping costs, coupons and promotions are applied by AliExpress at checkout. We show prices in US dollars, converted from the prices AliExpress reports.

Our price assessments are calculated from our own recorded readings. Where we do not hold enough history to assess a price, the page says so. An assessment is information to help you decide; it is not financial or purchasing advice, and it is not a promise that a price will rise, fall or remain available.

Nothing on PriceProven is an offer to sell. The price, shipping cost and availability that apply to your purchase are the ones AliExpress shows you at checkout.

We do not sell products or process payments. When you follow a link from PriceProven and buy something, your contract is with AliExpress and the seller. Payment, shipping, customs, returns, refunds, warranties and disputes are governed by AliExpress’s terms and handled by AliExpress and the seller. PriceProven is not a party to that transaction and cannot intervene in it.

PriceProven takes part in the AliExpress affiliate programme. When you buy on AliExpress after following one of our links, AliExpress may pay us a commission. This does not change the price you pay. The full details, including what affiliate income does not influence, are in our Affiliate Disclosure.

We send email only when you ask for it: a price alert about a listing you chose, or the daily email if you subscribe to it. Every message includes an unsubscribe link. How we handle the address you give us is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Please use only an email address that is your own. We may decline or remove alert requests that appear automated or abusive.

We publish a browser extension for Google Chrome. Installing it is optional and free, and it needs no account. It is distributed through the Chrome Web Store, so your use of it is also subject to Google’s terms for that store, and Chrome updates it automatically.

The extension shows the price history we hold for the AliExpress listing you are viewing, under the same limits as the rest of the service: where we do not hold enough history to assess a price, it says so. What the extension sends to us, and what it does not, is described in the extension section of our Privacy Policy. These terms, including the disclaimers and the limitation of liability below, apply to the extension as they apply to the website.

You agree not to:

• interfere with, disrupt or place an unreasonable load on the service;
• access the service by automated means in a way that goes beyond reasonable use, ignores our robots.txt, or attempts to get around the limits we place on how often a feature may be used;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service;
• submit an email address that is not yours, or use our forms to send unwanted mail to others;
• use the service in any way that breaks the law.

We may limit, suspend or block access that threatens the service or other people’s use of it.

The PriceProven name, logo, website design, software and original text are our property or are used by us with permission. Product images, product titles, seller names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear here as part of the AliExpress affiliate programme.

The price record we publish for download is provided so that our figures can be checked. Apart from that, you may not copy, republish or create derivative works from substantial parts of the service without our written permission.

PriceProven links to AliExpress and, in places, to other websites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their privacy practices. Following a link to another website is at your own discretion, and that website’s own terms apply once you are there.

PriceProven is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep the price record accurate and the service running, but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any price, product detail or availability shown is complete or current. Product information, images and order counts are supplied by AliExpress and its sellers and are reproduced as given.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PriceProven is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. We are not liable for products you buy on AliExpress, including their quality, delivery, returns or refunds.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, and nothing in them affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the date at the top. Changes apply from the date they are posted. If you continue to use PriceProven after that date, you accept the updated terms.
